In 2014 the idea was born to repurpose a former olivine mine on the West Coast of Norway. In the years to come a dedicated team started building a cutting-edge data center campus by exploiting the advantages provided by Mother Nature. Today, green minerals are being replaced by Green IT. Lefdal Mine Datacenter operates a facility that is best described as an underground city of digital infrastructure - one of the leading data center facilities in Europe.
